- I'm interested in a 28.8 modem for a Mac (LC 575). I've been using a
- LineLink 144e for a couple of years with generally good results, but
- 14.4 is too sluggish for the Web. I'm seeking suggestions.
-
- The SupraExpress 288 has an attractive price ($159.95 in MacWarehouse).
-
- But the Global Village TelePort Platinum 28.8 V.34 ($209.95) is
- intriguing because of GlobalFax OCR software.
-
- Finally, does anyone have an opinion on this OCR software. I've heard
- good things about the Xerox OCR software, but am not familiar with
- Global's. OCR would be very helpful in our desktop publishing business.
-
- Thanks in advance for your replies.
